Jakarta to Provide Accurate and Fast Population Administration Services

The Jakarta Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Agency ensures a faster population administration service for Jakartans that only takes only 15 minutes if all required documents are complete and the internet network signal is running well.

For example, previously it took 1 hour to a few days to process the ID card (KTP) but now it only takes 15 minutes to complete.

Jakarta Dukcapil Agency Head Budi Awaludin asserted that the agency would continue to make improvements in accelerating services, from 15 minutes, 30 minutes, to 60 minutes.

According to him, there was 1 service related to the use of population data access utilization service that needed a longer time around 480 minutes to complete.

"We are committed to providing the best service for Jakartans and carrying out population administration services with applicable standards. This service can be completed quickly if applicants have completed the requirements and have good internet speed," he said as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release, Monday (4/18).

He assessed that the service was accelerated for time efficiency. If Dukcapil services could be completed faster, applicants could carry out other activities on the same day. He wanted Jakartans to find it easy and fast to access population administration services.

He mentioned that Jakarta Government received Independent Dukcapil Pavilion (ADM) machine from the Ministry of Home Affairs for Jakarta Dukcapil Agency's excellent service to the public.

ADM handover would be carried out by the Ministry of Home Affairs Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration Prof. Dr. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, S.H., M.H. to Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan soon.

The following are details of population administration services that can be completed in 15 minutes, 60 minutes, and 480 minutes:

1. Data recording of residents under 12 years

2. Family Card (KK) issuance

3. Electronic ID card (e-KTP) issuance

4. Child Identity Card (KIA) Issuance

5. Legalization of residence document without electronic signature (TTE)

6. Issuance of Non-Permanent Population Data Collection (STBP2NP)

7. Issuance of Excerpt of Birth Certificate

8. Issuance of Excerpt of Death Certificate

9. Issuance of Death and Birth Certificates

10. Re-issuance of lost/damaged excerpt with evidence of a letter of validity

11. Issuance of Residence Certificate (SKKT)

12. Recording of important events regarding Indonesian citizens and foreigners abroad

13 population administration services that can be completed within 30 minutes:

1. E-KTP data recording and issuance

2. Issuance of Excerpt of Marriage Certificate

3. Issuance of Excerpt of Divorce Certificate

5. Utilization of population data and information in form of aggregated data

6. Integrated services with health facilities, cemeteries, houses of worship, Office of Religious Affairs, as well as domestic and international moving services

7. Cancellation of population registration and civil registration documents without going through a court/contrarius actus

8. Re-issuance of the excerpt of the civil registration deed due to control of one of the disputing parties

1 Population Administration Service that can be completed within 480 minutes:

1. Utilization of population data access that has been approved by the Directorate General of Dukcapil, Ministry of Home Affairs

He asserted that Dukcapil would optimize the services and speed up the processing population accurately.

The optimization in service is according to Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Agency Head Decree No. 71/2022 about Guidelines for Completion of Population Administration and Civil Registration Services of Jakarta Province, which was issued in March 2022.

Acceleration in the service would be realized through improvements in officer performance and work patterns.

"Simply put, the officers will immediately process the required documents thus the service becomes fast. With fast, accurate, and complete service according to its duration, the more Jakarta residents that can be served, thus they don't need to queue for too long," he conveyed.

Moreover, his side also optimized the Alpukat Betawi application, from 50 documents, now it could handle up to 100 documents to fulfill people's demands related to the civil registry.

The Agency also provided door-to-door service to assist residents in managing their population documents.
